Product No. 295-G: Surface Conditioner & Primer
If you’re working on a surface coated with low-cohesion-factor materials such as polyurethane foam roofs, concrete, metal, or older roof coatings, you’ll need to treat the surface before applying a rubberized latex roof or wall coating. Product No. 295-G Surface Conditioner & Primer is ideal for these surfaces. It’s a penetrating sealer that yields a firm application surface. In addition, it offers maximum adhesive properties for an unbeatable bond between the membrane and roof substrate.

Uses
Product No. 295-G is specially recommended for priming over surfaces coated with low cohesion factor products. These surfaces include aluminum roof coatings, exposed polyurethane foam roofs, and badly oxidized areas of roof or exterior walls. Product No. 295-G is designed for laying polyester membrane for a complete roofing system.
Application
Prior to application, you’ll need to repair cracks and structural defects. These vulnerabilities are where moisture damage originates. Additionally, the surface must be clean and dry. Pressure washing prior to application is recommended. Then, scrub the surface with TSP (All-Purpose Heavy-Duty Cleaner) and then rinse it with water.
To apply, stir thoroughly and apply uniformly by roller, brush, or airless spray at a rate of one gallon/100 square feet. Apply at a rate of 5 gallons per 150-200 square feet to fully saturate polyester membrane. Do not apply if rain or frost has been forecasted within 24 hours. In addition, you should keep the product from freezing. Dry time ranges from 2 to 12 hours depending on weather conditions.
Cleanup
Primer is easily removed from brushes and tools with an immediate wash in soapy water after use. Caked on product can be removed with paint thinner.
